Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin is easily irritated by products and external factors. It can be prone to redness and allergy and may have fine broken veins across the cheeks and nose. Some skin is so sensitive people can not find a product that does not irritate. If you are like this try cleansing using whole milk and moisturise with a solution of glycerin and rose water. Hypo-allergenic products are screened for common irritants, so should be usedif you have sensitive skin.
1) Steer clear of facial washes and soaps, as these are likely to strip your skin of oil and mositure, which can increase sensitivity further. Choose a light hypo-allergenic cleansing lotion.
2) Even the mildest skin freshener can break down the natural protection on sensitive skin. So freshen your face by just splashing it with warm water.
3) Never rub your face to dry it, pat it gently with a soft towel.
4) It is essential to moisturise your skin well to give it a barrier. Dryness can make sensitive skin even more uncomfortable. Choose an unperfumed moisturiser.
5) Horse chestnut cream can strengthen the tiny red veins on cheeks & nose. Its available in tablet form to help boost general blood circulation in skin too.
